So what are meat by-products? That’s corporate pet-food code for scraps. Beaks, feathers, lungs, floor scraps, leftovers you'd never choose, whatever’s cheap really.

No! Cats are 100% carnivores. That means they need 100% meat. No Veggies, no grains, no fillers.

All we’ve added to our meat-packed recipes is a vet-formulated nutrient premix to make sure your cat gets every essential vitamins and minerals they need.

Each packet is a day’s worth of fresh, gently cooked food. Just open one up, scoop out half in the morning, and the other half at dinner. Done.

Got a grazer? No problem. You can dish it out in smaller meals throughout the day 

Once opened, a packet stays fresh in the fridge for 2 days. Unopened? It’s good for 5 days chilled, or up to 9 months in the freezer.

We recommend keeping about 3-5 packets in the fridge at all times. Every time you use one, replace it with one from the freezer.

Adult Cats (12+ months)

We try keep it simple for you, one of our Louis packets contains 200 kcal, which suits a 4.5 kg cat (your average house panther). This is because Most adult cats need around 45 kcal per kg of body weight each day.

Kittens (under 12 months)

Growing machines. Kittens need up to 90 kcal per kg, daily. That’s twice what adults eat.

Pregnant/Nursing Cats

Nurturing kittens takes energy. A lot of it. Thats why these mothers need 90–180 kcal per kg, per day. Yes, that’s a lot.

Cats can be cautious eaters, so it’s best to transition gradually over 7–14 days. Start by offering Louis in a separate bowl so your cat can explore at their own pace. Then mix Louis into their usual food, slowly increasing the amount each day. By the end of the first week, most cats are happily eating Louis as their main diet.

We include a feeding guide with every order to make the switch simple, and recommend starting with our Chicken recipe, it’s the most familiar and loved by even the fussiest cats.

What looks like fussiness is often just neophobia. It’s not about being picky, it’s an instinct to be cautious with new foods.

Getting past that takes a little patience, some take a week or two. Stick with it. Because once your cat’s on Louis, you’ll see the difference.

Here’s how to keep your monthly trays fresh and ready:

• Freeze (almost) the lot as soon as it arrives
  
• Keep 3 to 5 of the trays in the fridge
  
• Every time you use one, replace it with a frozen one. That way, you’re always a day ahead.

You don't need to heat up Louis, most cats like it straight from the fridge.

But all cats are different, and some prefer their food closer to prey temperature, if this is the case, just give it a quick blast in the microwave for about 10 seconds and serve it as normal.
